My Five Minutes of Fame
... so it's a normal OR day and I walk into an office and wait for the appointment. I'm bored, I'm tired and I search around for a relief. A magazine with a smart looking Mercedes on the front catches my eye, I flip through it, hoping there will be enough bright images to keep me awake. There are, Formula 1 results, cute business ladies, and ... GASP!! There's ME!!!! There I am, staring at myself, I scramble to read what the article is about, hmm, it has nothing to do with me, but nevertheless, there I am on the front picture, me, Dupree and a bunch of happy orphans. The article was about the orphans, and they just happened to put in a picture of the day we were visiting them, a very nice day too, we had a muddy soccer game that day, made pop out cards that would've made you scream, and ate red soup noodles, and here the day was tributed by the images capturing all the happy faces.
So I'm happy it was not about me, but about the orphans that are made happy everytime someone tries to make a difference and share a smile, cuz that is more important than 5 minutes, or even a lifetime, of fame.
