The cycling ameatuer, ME!!
Today was my day off. Last night I had pledged to myself I would wake up at a civilized time but I ended up waking up at 12:30. Oh well. Then in the afternoon I went to the park and did cycling for a loooong time. Was great, haven’t done it for a while so it was good. Got a good bike, unlike what I usually get. It just seems there is always something wrong with the bikes I rent there. It’s either the brakes are the fall-in-the-lake type, or the tires or ready to die, or the seat falls off, or the gears never change without a giant “CLUNK” and the chain coming off, there’s just always something wrong with the bikes. But I found one bike out of maybe a thousand in all the shops that I really like and I even memorized the number so I can find it each time I go back. See I’m smart! So I did a whole bunch and I was getting tired. And then Sam popped his tire, because, see, he had one of those junky bikes. Proof here I’m right. So I wanted to push myself a bit before going back home and I found a group of riders who were really good and wanted to go along with them to keep a pace. First round they just went so slow so I went way ahead but by the second round they must have thought, “hmm, this kid thinks he’s good eh, let’s teach him a lesson”. So the second round we did together, fast!!! and actually they weren’t all that good, there was only one main guy that was really good. So we did the second round really fast and I came out on top but by the time it came to the third round the main guy must have reeeeeaaaaaallllly thought I was cheeky because he finally just took off! We were way in front of his fellow riders, but oh man, he was fast, he was good, and he totally left me looking like some amateur. But at least I can be relieved with the fact that I was better then the other guys, but he was very good. Anyways, had suki for dinner, Chinese background coming out, and the evening was uneventful.
