Me against the winners
This was the contest winner. Good concept, actually when I saw the preview of the finalists, I thought this one would win. Just because it went well with Asiabooks design stance and was realistic for a shopping bag unlike some designs that were nicely creative, but unrealistic to actually produce.
This was my submission for the contest.
The concept they provided was "bag the knowledge with creativity" a strange phrase I think. So I had different icons on the head of the character representing the different types of knowledge and flowing colors (representing creativity) flowing from the character. The icons used were a paintbrush for artistry, a test tube for science, a musical note for music, and a pen for literature.
Which do you think hits the point best?
But of any of the designs presented, I think this was the best design of all. A flower (representing creativity) coming from a book (representing knowledge). Simple, crisp and vibrant colors, perfect for a shopping bag. Congradulations to Chinnathat Aimradee, Age 26, who is working at Massive Advertising as Art director. If you ever see this sir, know that I think you should have been the winner.
